Sioux Lookout Municipal Airport

The Sioux Lookout Municipal Airport started operation in 1933. In the mid-thirties, Popular Mechanics magazine reported in an article on aviation, that Sioux Lookout (Hudson) Airport was, at the time the second busiest Airport in North America next to Chicago. Today, this modern airport is a “Mini-Hub” facilitating air travel to and from remote First Nations communities in Northwestern Ontario.

The Sioux Lookout Airport is considered a major hub for Wasaya Airways LP who fly many of its aircraft in and out of the airport on a daily basis throughout the year.
