Sandy Lake Seaplane Service
Sandy Lake Seaplane Service is a reliable regional air taxi service based in Sandy Lake, Ontario. They operate reliable year round air service on wheels and floats. Wasaya Airways and Sandy Lake Seaplane are long standing partners in transporting local residents, miners, medical personnel, fishermen, hunters and outdoor adventurers from the populated areas in the south such as Thunder Bay and Red Lake to destinations around the Sandy Lake region. The business owner is Tom Brotherston with Tim Jenken the Chief Pilot and Operations Manager. They are assisted at their base by Jonas Fiddler.
Sandy Lake First Nation or Neh gaaw saga’igan is a fly-in community 450 km northeast of Winnipeg and 600 km northwest of Thunder Bay. Sandy Lake First Nation is a new Wasaya Group Shareholder community. It has a land base of approximately 17 sq. miles with a population of approximately 2650. Wasaya Airways provides regularly scheduled flights to and from the community and during the winter months, it is accessible by winter ice roads. On average, the winter roads are driveable for a period of six weeks, weather depending.
The community has seven geographical areas - River, Centre, Airport, Big Rock, Old Sawmill, Ghost Point, and R.C. To maintain equally populated geographical areas these seven areas were combined to make five sections - River, Centre, Airport/Big Rock, Old Sawmill/Ghost Point and R.C.

Wasaya Airways LP has been the leading supplier of quality airline transportaion services in Northern Ontario Canada since 1989. Wasaya Airways offers daily scheduled flights to over 25 destinations as well as chartered aircraft services utilizing a variety of aircraft including Dash 8 and Beech 1900's accomadating groups of 29 or more.

Chimo Air Service
Chimo Air Service is a charter air service in Northwestern Ontario. They fly from Red Lake Ontario to several different fishing and hunting camps, outposts and private cabins. Chimo offers airport shuttle service, free parking, ice and fishing licences available for purchase in their office. They also have over-night storage for pre-ordered groceries.
Chimo has a fleet of 5 aircraft... 2 of which are capable of flying external loads such as canoes. All their aircraft are on floats and range in size from a Cessna 180 to a turbine otter. They have 2 Norseman, one of which was featured in the film "Snowalker", based on the novel bt Farley Mowat.
North Star Air
North Star Air is located in Pickle Lake.. Ontario's Last Frontier. The airline offers charter aircraft, freight services and floatplane operations from Pickle Lake's modern Airport to northern communities including First Nations and outpost camps throughout the region.
The Airways operates its own 12-person fly-in camp for fishing, ecotourism and corporate get-a-ways. North Star operates 3 Cessna Caravans and 2 Pc-12's. The business operation is owned by Bernie Cox and is managed by Dwight Monck. Dwights cell number is 807-629-5674.

Sioux Lookout Municipal Airport
The Sioux Lookout Municipal Airport started operation in 1933. In the mid-thirties, Popular Mechanics magazine reported in an article on aviation, that Sioux Lookout (Hudson) Airport was, at the time the second busiest Airport in North America next to Chicago. Today, this modern airport is a “Mini-Hub” facilitating air travel to and from remote First Nations communities in Northwestern Ontario.
The Sioux Lookout Airport is considered a major hub for Wasaya Airways LP who fly many of its aircraft in and out of the airport on a daily basis throughout the year.
Nakina Air Service
Nakina Air Service is a family business founded in 1973 by Millie and Don Bourdignon as a fly in fishing outfitter. In those days, it was strictly a family affair- Don and Millie did all of the booking, flying, cleaning, and everything in between. Their hard work paid off though, as the company flourished. As their reputation for quality service and safety grew, the company expanded, adding a scheduled and charter service on wheels to enhance their float and ski operation. In 2001, wanting to devote their time to serving the flying customer, they sold their camps and became strictly a flying service. Now employing over 30 people, including son and chief pilot Greg, Nakina Air Service caters to a range of scheduled and charter operations, from commuters to cargo, from tourists to crew changes, and much more.
Both their wheeled base at the Nakina Airport terminal building and floatplane base at Cordingley Lake are equipped with wireless internet, coffee, seating and restroom amenities. There is parking available on site, and Nakina Air offers personalized check in service. The following services are also available -Walk in freezers/cooler, Indoor/outdoor storage, Diesel and Jet drums, Gasoline /Propane (must provide containers), Washrooms, Cargo delivery direct to the airport (we will receive it) and Telephone.
Thunder Bay International Airport Authority
The Thunder Bay International Airports Authority Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the maintenance and operation of the YQT Thunder Bay Airport and facilities. The airport which is one of the busiest in Canada services Air Canada, Westjet, Porter, Wasaya and Bearskin.
Operating since 1997, TBIAA Inc. believes that "being better means being different". The airport offers modern fascilities, services and amenities found in big city airports with connections to and from major Canadian and U.S. destinations.
A dedicated staff of over 25 employees contribute to the operation, management and maintenance of the facilities in Thunder Bay.
Bamaji Air
Bamaji Air's floatplane base is located at 27 Wellington Street, the main gateway road into Sioux Lookout Ontario via Hwy 72.
The air service is an Aboriginal business partnership between the Wasaya Group Inc. and the Slate Falls First Nation. From Bamaji's main base , vacationers are easily transported by floatplanes into their desired remote fishing and hunting camps north of Sioux Lookout. The air service offers year round service.. floats in summer, wheels & skis in winter.
Bamaji Air Inc. operates 4 aircraft; a Caravan, a Cessna 185, a Beaver and a Found Bush Hawk.
