Our goal is to develop and market Aboriginal tourism in Northern Ontario, respecting Aboriginal values and creating economic value and employment among Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal peoples in particular youth.
Wasaya Wilderness Adventures is supported financially through the sale of annual partnerships to private and public sector businesses as well as advertising revenue in annual tourist publications and from our website. It will periodically receive financial assistance from government agencies on a one-time basis to assist with tourism development, marketing and staff training.
We require website visitors to voluntarily give their Contact information (like name, mailing address and email address) to recieve the travel information and publications you request mailed to you. Provided we have your permission, your information may or may not be used at a later date to send you interesting and topical newsletters and money saving options that can help you plan your next vacation to Northern Ontario. You will be provided a pre-selected choice to opt-out of receiving future mailings if you chose.
When you voluntarily complete our request form for a Vacation Guide you have the option to say yes or no with respect to us sharing your enquiry with participating tourist businesses we think you would like to receive additional information from. This flexibility allows members to provide you with additional information and value propositions that may be used by you for more effective travel planning.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of our members or their websites but we do however request and expect that they treat each enquiry received from our website as “a one-time request” for specific activity & destination travel information.
The websites we link to are not under our control therefore we are not responsible for their privacy practices or the content so you are strongly encouraged to read their online Privacy Policies.
We request that our partners avoid replying to unqualified enquiries should they receive them and not to place your addresses on any lists of their own. Since, we honour all requests to remove information we expect that our members respect information received from us about you and if requested by us, remove this information from their mail list.
Security
Our website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of all information under our control. Access to our enquiry databases are controlled and tracked by a specific logon procedure that is under the control of a designated senior staff person at Wasaya Wilderness Adventures office in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Pre-set at Opt-Out
Our website provides a pre-set opt-out option so it automatically says no to receiving further travel communications or newsletters from us or our tourism partners. You have total control of that option of opting-in or saying yes to receiving additional information from us or our partners in the future.
