Wasaya Group CEO Tom Kamenawatamin Sr., Senior VP MaryEllen Thomas and Business Development Officer, Gordon Wabasse picked the winning name on Friday morning, June 14, 2013 under warm sunny skies in front of the Wasaya Group office in Thunder Bay. Ontario. The contest draw was officially witnessed by Julie Neshinapaise, Wasaya Finance Clerk.

First Nation Tourism Consultations Begin this summer

Wasaya Wilderness Adventures is initiating a broad and comprehensive community engagement process over the summer whereby community Chiefs, Councils and residents can share their collective vision of a First Nation tourism industry in a collaborative process with Wasaya tourism advisors.

The process will be undertaken in a culturally appropriate, sensitive and authentic manner and existing tourism assets will be identified early in the process in order to assess and compare them with market/guest requirements and expectations.

Our 2nd Annual Fly-in Fishing Contest has officially closed.

A big thanks to the over 2000 people who entered our contest this year. The draw has taken place and the lucky winner has been notified. An official announcement of the winning entry will be made soon. The lucky winner and 3 friends will enjoy an "All Inclusive" 3 night/4 day Fly-In fishing vacation from August 15-18th, 2012 to Makoop Lake Lodge, Ontario, Canada in search of the water wolf (Monster Northern Pikes).
